The Service

Not a polish. A correction.

Paint correction is the disciplined process of leveling clear coat to remove the defects beneath the surface — swirls, holograms, fine scratches, water spots.

We measure paint thickness, test panel by panel, and choose pad and compound based on what each panel actually needs.

How We Work

A repeatable process — not a guess.

Same approach every job. The order matters: rush a step or skip prep, the finish never recovers. Below is the actual sequence we follow on every Correction job in Orlando.

Done at your driveway with our own water and power. You don’t need to do anything but unlock the gate.

01

Wash + decon

Foam wash, iron remover, clay bar so the polisher isn't dragging grit across paint.

02

Inspect + measure

Paint thickness gauge readings per panel. Test panel with the lightest pad/compound combo that works.

03

Cut

Compound pass to level the defect layer. Pad and product matched to each panel's hardness.

04

Finish

Polishing pad with finishing compound to remove any haze and bring up full gloss.

05

Seal

Wax sealant — or prep for ceramic coating if you're booking both.

FAQ

Paint Correction Questions.

Everything Orlando car owners ask about correction — honest answers, no upsell.

What is paint correction?

The mechanical process of leveling clear coat to remove swirls, light scratches, water spots, and oxidation. Done with a machine polisher, dedicated pads, and tuned compounds.

How long does it take?

Single-stage on a clean car: 4–8 hours. Multi-stage on a neglected car: 1–2 days. We quote after seeing the paint and reading thickness.

Will it remove every scratch?

Anything you can't feel with a fingernail — yes. Deeper scratches that went through the clear coat need touch-up paint or panel work; we'll be honest about what's possible before we start.

Is it safe for my paint?

Yes — when done by someone who measures and tests. Paint correction removes a tiny amount of clear; over a lifetime a car can be corrected several times safely. We measure before and after.

Should I get correction before ceramic?

Always — if there are visible defects. Ceramic locks in whatever's underneath. Coating a swirled car preserves the swirls for years.

How long do the results last?

Forever — until new defects are introduced. Wash technique matters: a coating + proper wash routine keeps corrected paint looking corrected.

How much does paint correction cost in Orlando?

Single-stage paint correction starts at $449 for sedans. Multi-stage correction (cut + polish + finish) runs $699–$1,199. The right tier depends on paint thickness, defect depth, and color. We measure with a paint depth gauge before quoting.

How long does paint correction take?

Single-stage on a clean car: 4–8 hours. Multi-stage on a neglected car: 1–2 full days. We quote after a paint inspection so timing is realistic — we won't rush a correction job to fit a schedule.

Will paint correction remove every scratch?

Anything you can't feel with a fingernail — yes. Deeper scratches that cut through the clear coat into the base color require touch-up paint or panel work, not correction. We'll be honest about what's possible before starting.

Is paint correction safe for my car's paint?

Yes — when done by someone who measures and tests first. Paint correction removes a tiny amount of clear coat. Over a car's lifetime it can be corrected safely several times. We measure paint thickness before and after to stay within safe limits.

Do I need paint correction before a ceramic coating?

If you have visible swirls, scratches, or oxidation — yes. Ceramic coating is a clear lens that amplifies whatever's underneath. Coating an uncorrected car preserves those defects for years. Most cars over 12 months old benefit from at least a single-stage correction first.

Is Drip Mobile Detailing insured?

Yes. Drip Mobile Detailing carries full general liability insurance and is bonded. We provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) on request — required by some gated communities, HOAs, marinas, and commercial fleet contracts in Orlando.

Do you bring your own water and power?

Yes. We are fully self-contained. We arrive with our own water tank, water-recovery system, generator, and all detailing products. You don't need to provide a hose, an outlet, or anything else — just a parking spot. We can detail in driveways, condos, parking garages, and gated communities.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, and cash. Invoices are sent on completion. For commercial fleet contracts and ceramic coating jobs, we also accept ACH and bank wire.

How far in advance should I book?

Most Orlando appointments are booked 2–5 days out. We often have same-day or next-day availability for standard washes and exterior details. Ceramic coatings and multi-day paint correction jobs typically require 7–10 days lead time so we can schedule the right weather window.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. If you're not satisfied with any part of the detail, we'll come back and re-do it free of charge — typically within 24–48 hours. Ceramic coatings carry manufacturer warranties (5–10 years depending on product) tied to your VIN and registered to your name.

Do you detail in the rain or heat?

We work year-round in Orlando. Light rain doesn't stop us — we set up portable canopies. Heavy rain or thunderstorms get rescheduled at no charge. We schedule ceramic coatings and paint correction during low-humidity windows, often early morning, to maximize cure quality.

Can you detail my car at an apartment, condo, or office?

Yes. We routinely detail at apartment complexes, condos (with HOA permission), office parking lots, and parking garages across Orlando — Lake Nona, Dr. Phillips, Winter Park, Maitland, Baldwin Park, downtown, and beyond. We bring our own water and operate quietly without runoff.

Do I need to be home during the detail?

No. Most clients leave us a key or garage code and head to work. We send before/after photos and a text when finished. For exotic vehicles or ceramic coating projects we recommend being available at the end for the walk-through.
